Another early morning shot. A gardener waters plants outside the Smithsonian Castle, which now houses the visitor center with orientation exhibits and a coffee shop.

So wonderful to see “our” outhouse! I loved the arrangemennt of chairs outside the Hirschorn and the watering at the Smithsonian. Your pictures of the familiar are artistically composed—fabulous!

Watering plants and pulling weeds are my two favorite garden chores.

It must be great to visit a coffee shop inside such beautiful castle. What about the exhibitions?

Dorée — Welcome to commenting. I know you’ve been lurking for a while so it’s great to see you in (electronic) person.
Marie — I wish I’d known you when I had my townhouse. You’d have been welcome to weed my back patio antime! Actually it wouldn’t have been too onerous. I once rushed in from doing said activity to answer the phone. When I told my caller what I’d been doing, she said, “So what does it take to weed a shoebox—five minutes?”
Carlos — It’s a nice coffee shop. The exhibits are mostly to orientate visitors to the main Smithsonian museums.
Tanty — Thank you. The doorway is especially pretty this time of year with the flowers.

Hello Judith, hope you’re well.
Love this shot. And nice to see the gardener getting the castle ready for visitors.
