This is the vaulted ceiling inside Washington’s Union Station. It is dominated by six statues designed by Augustus Saint-Gaudens and representing Fire, Electricity, Freedom, Imagination, Agriculture, and Mechanics. I don’t know which these four are. Yesterday, the 100th City Daily Photo blogger was announced and celebrated. Strange because when I count up all the city photoblogs — even excluding the ones that have been inactive for several months — I come up with 130. But hey, who’s counting!
